Cold-pressed Camelina oil is a product extracted from carefully selected gold-of-pleasure seeds. The oil produced is fresh, unfiltered and unrefined. It thus contains the full range of its nutrients, while remaining free from all chemical additives, preservatives and colourings.
Cold-pressed gold-of-pleasure oil is distinguished primarily by its favourable fatty acid composition - as much as 90% of its content is unsaturated fatty acids, of which more than half is polyunsaturated. The product has the most favourable ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acids. It is also a very good source of vitamin E and A and B vitamins.
The high content of unsaturated fatty acids makes cold-pressed Camelina oil beneficial for all human body systems. When consumed regularly, it reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, obesity and depression. The product strengthens immunity, protects the heart, liver, pancreas and kidneys, and strengthens the intestinal bacterial flora. It is beneficial for rheumatism and arthritis. It has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral effects.
Cold-pressed Camelina oil is also a skin care agent. It accelerates healing of ulcers, burns, wounds and sores. It also has a smoothing, elasticising, softening and anti-ageing effect. It helps to rebuild the epidermal lipid barrier and fight problems such as skin inflammation and eczema.
Cold-pressed Camelina oil can be used in cooking, but only without prior heat treatment, i.e. not during baking, cooking or frying. The product is therefore added to cold or chilled dishes, such as salads, salads, sandwiches, cooked porridge or potatoes. Due to its unique flavour and aroma - described as currant or spicy - it is recommended to combine the oil with green salad, cucumber, tomato, goat's cheese or cottage cheese. The product is also suitable for the preparation of healthy homemade marinades.
