Oil of Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) is a product extracted from the Asian basil plant, which has been used for centuries in traditional Indian, Chinese and Thai medicine. The oil is extracted by steam distillation. It not only purifies the air, but also supports the respiratory system, nervous system and digestive tract, while protecting the body from toxins present in the environment.
Holy basil, or Tulasi, is an aromatic-scented herb that has religious significance in Hinduism - devotees trust in the belief that Tulsi can protect the home and family from all misfortunes. Asian basil is also considered the most important herb in Indian Ayurvedic natural medicine for relieving inflammation and infection, lowering cholesterol, and improving digestive processes.
Tulsi essential oil has a fresh, balsamic yet spicy fragrance that not only lifts the spirit and stimulates action, but also perfectly cleans, refreshes and disinfects the air indoors (acts as a mosquito repellent).
Oil is sometimes helpful for minor wounds, acne, and other minor skin irritations; and when used on the scalp, it eliminates dandruff - just add it to your shampoo, conditioner or hair mask.
